“We have a good footprint. Our market it the whole U.S., but it is such a vast market that we haven’t even begun to tap into all the possibilities. But we are excited about the challenge of getting to these individuals.”
Inside the DoubleTree by Hilton, there are about 150 rooms, a bar, a restaurant, a conference room, a pool and more. And when you talk to those who have worked on the project, you’ll notice a theme there: stay local.
Hamister Group, of Buffalo, took on the project about six years ago. Thirty-three people were hired to work inside, and about 250 local Western New Yorkers were hired to help build it. All the furniture was built by Artone, which is a furniture manufacturer less than two miles from the hotel. The taps in the bar are local, craft brews, and the executive chef of the restaurant is even a Jamestown native.
It’s the re-birth of an important downtown building. The building will become the new Hilton DoubleTree Hotel, located in the heart of downtown. The Hamister Group is contracting locally for labor and products. All the furniture for the hotel rooms is being manufactured at Artone LLC.
The Hamister Group has teamed up once again with a local business to provide high-quality room furniture for their guest at the soon-to-be-open DoubleTree by Hilton Jamestown.
Artone receives award in the “Dream It Do It” category, being recognized for understanding the value of helping to develop a future skilled workforce.
