Sales Assistant

POSITION SUMMARY:

The purpose of the job is to provide day-to-day assistance and planning to the Sales Manager. This position will support the Sales Manager through a variety of tasks related to organization and communication. This position will communicate via phone and email to ensure all administrative responsibilities are completed accurately and delivered with the highest quality and in a timely manner. 

JOB DESCRIPTION: 

· Maintain accurate customer/lead contact information using HubSpot CRM

· Research, identify and complete initial qualification of new project opportunities for both the sales and installation departments

· Work with external resources (Territory Sales Representatives, Industry Affiliates, etc.) to identify new project opportunities

· Track and follow up on all outstanding estimates

· Coordinate all internal office communication and required forms

· Handle customer calls for quote requests and customer service questions

· Process all quote requests & orders internally through using proper documentation

· Respond to emails, phone calls, and other forms of correspondence

· Schedule and coordinate travel arrangements and travel agenda

· Attend/work tradeshows (as required)

· Handle all follow up and documentation after travel

· Coordinate all in-house Sales Representative and Industry Associate training

· Respond to request for samples and marketing materials for customers and territory sales representatives

·  Perform other general office duties and assist with special projects, as needed

· Superior written and verbal communication skills with a strong talent in creating professional correspondence

· Accuracy and attention to detail

· An ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines

· An ability to work independently and as a team

· An ability to manage changing priorities with a systematic and organized approach

· Ability to work well in time-sensitive situations where customer satisfaction is the ultimate goal

· Ability to apply creative problem solving techniques to situations using sound business judgment

· Strong technical skills including a high-level of proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PPT and Outlook), Internet Search browsers; prefer additional knowledge of Customer Relationship Management software (HubSpot CRM)

EDUCATION:

Associates Degree in Business, Communication or related experience required.  Previous sales assistant experience a plus.
